Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026.
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered by glitzroomix through its website. These include specialised training programmes focused on live production decks and control rooms, encompassing multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy covers both one-time course enrolments and any subscription-based access to digital materials or live sessions. It does not extend to third-party products or services linked from the site.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included in the listed prices where applicable. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification, extended access periods, or physical materials if offered. glitzroomix reserves the right to adjust prices for future enrolments, but confirmed bookings remain at the price agreed at the time of purchase. Currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the customer if paying from outside the UK.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payments are authorised at the point of booking through secure third-party processors compliant with PCI DSS standards. glitzroomix does not store card details. Authorisation ensures funds are reserved until the transaction completes or is cancelled. All transactions are encrypted to protect customer data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed upon successful payment and receipt of a confirmation email containing booking details and access instructions. This confirmation constitutes acceptance of the order by glitzroomix. Customers should review all details immediately upon receipt. Access to digital course content is granted electronically shortly after confirmation, subject to the terms outlined in this policy.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers in the UK have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation to cancel without reason. For digital content, cancellation rights may be lost once access is provided with explicit consent. Services that have commenced within the cooling-off period may incur charges for the portion already delivered. Courses delivered as live sessions cannot be cancelled once the session has begun.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available within the 14-day period if no substantial access to course materials has occurred. Exclusions include completed courses, downloaded materials, or services where the customer has explicitly waived cooling-off rights. Promotional offers or discounted bundles may have limited refund eligibility. Non-refundable items encompass any certification fees or third-party licences acquired on the customer's behalf.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected] or use the form on the Contacts page, providing your full name, order reference, date of purchase, and reason for the request. Include bank details for processing if applicable. Requests must be submitted in writing within the applicable period. 01494 671234 is available for follow-up enquiries during business hours.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Upon receipt, glitzroomix will inspect the request within five working days. Approval depends on verification of eligibility and confirmation that no prohibited access has taken place. Customers receive written notification of the decision via email. Rejected requests include an explanation and options for appeal or further discussion.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes up to 10 working days after approval, though bank transfer times may vary by institution. Customers are notified once the refund has been initiated. In cases of delay beyond this timeframe, contact [email protected] for status updates.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital course content is non-returnable once downloaded or streamed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, with pro-rata refunds available only during the initial cooling-off window. Promotional offers are subject to the same rules but may carry additional restrictions stated at purchase. Live production training sessions are treated as services and follow the commencement rules above.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments result in automatic cancellation of the booking. Duplicate charges are investigated upon notification and refunded promptly if confirmed. Chargebacks are handled in accordance with card scheme rules, but customers are encouraged to contact glitzroomix first. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities under UK law.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
This policy does not affect statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to goods and services of satisfactory quality. UK customers retain rights to remedies for faulty digital content or misdescribed services regardless of this policy. Nothing herein excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
